Best Schools in Eswatini: Rankings by Exam Performance

These rankings are based on 2024 Junior Certificate (JC) examination results published by the Examinations Council of Eswatini (ECESWA). Schools are ranked by overall pass rate — the percentage of candidates who passed with a Grade 1, 2, or 3.

Methodology

Rankings are based on the overall pass rate — the proportion of candidates achieving a passing grade across all subjects. This data comes directly from the Examinations Council of Eswatini's published results. Where a school on the Shunifu directory matches a centre in the exam data (by name), we link the two; otherwise, the centre name from ECESWA is shown.

These rankings reflect exam performance only. They do not account for school fees, facilities, student satisfaction, or extracurricular offerings. We recommend using this data alongside our School Fees Guide and individual school profiles.

How to Use These Rankings

  • Don't rely on pass rate alone. A small school with 20 candidates and a 100% pass rate is not directly comparable to a large school with 200 candidates and 85%.
  • Consider the full picture. Visit individual school profiles to see fees, facilities, boarding options, and other factors.
  • Check subject-level data. Overall pass rates can mask weakness in specific subjects — click through to see subject breakdowns on school profiles.
